About Me

Welcome to my Kitchen!

I’m Leah, and I am welcoming you with a big ole Southern hug like my grandmother used to give visitors to her home.

The kitchen is home for me and I am so happy that you found your way here!

I am a hearing impaired wife, mother, blogger, artist, and chef extraordinaire creating tasty comfort foods that bring us all together.

From learning how to make egg scrambles on a foggy San Francisco morning at the age of five from my aunt Marie, to impromptu dinner parties in college with my roommate Christina where we perfected the most delicious spinach artichoke dip, to decades of Christmas Day dinners preparations with my mother where she passed down her mother’s lemon meringue pie recipe, most of my favorite memories take place in the kitchen and around the dinner table.

Like most moms, wives, and people out there, I am “Sheltering in Place”. To spice up my days at home, I have started to cook and bake with my nine year old son, Lawrence (LTP). We LOVE being in the kitchen and have a great love for good food! Most importantly, I love the quality time we get to spend together, bonding over food. I am convinced that good food shared with good people can change the world.

I’m sharing our favorite recipes with you. So, wash your hands, roll up your sleeves, put on a funky apron and let’s get cooking.

Hope you enjoy our recipes as much as we do!
